Lower Day House is situated in a rural location, surrounded by open farmland with all round panoramic views, we are situated on one side of the valley of Ape Dale (no apes, just bees) opposite to Wenlock Edge and with a direct view of the Wrekin.

This is ideal country for touring, walking, cycling, horse riding or just dawdling!

Nearby, we have an equestrian centre, a selection of good quality public houses and restaurants (nearest 3 miles) and the market towns of Much Wenlock (5 miles) and Church Stretton (9 miles). Both towns have a selection of shops and interesting places to visit.

Within walking distance we have a farm shop and there are also farmers markets on selected days in most of the market towns

Wenlock Edge is a long wooded escarpment stretching from The Wrekin to Craven Arms.

Spectacular ruins in a beautiful garden setting on the outskirts of Much Wenlock

The Priory ruins, now in the hands of English Heritage, are the 12th and 13th century remains of the church and claustral buildings belonging to the Cluniac Priory.

A wonderful selection of live and working museums covering a wide range of interests.

Great shopping and interesting history, lovely river walks.

Ludlow

A magnificent castle and an unspoilt market town with some of the best five star restaurants in the country.

A busy weekly market, numerous shops with a high-town and a low-town joined by a funicular railway!
